Can beginners join?
Absolutely. Beginners are very welcome. Please note that ski lessons cannot be booked through Sunweb for this short trip. You can explore independent options through ESF.
What exactly is included in the €543 price?
Return group coach transport between the Netherlands and Val Thorens, two nights at Résidence Les Temples du Soleil, a 3-day Val Thorens ski pass and tourist tax.
What is not included?
Ski or snowboard equipment, travel and cancellation insurance, meals and drinks, and the optional Les Trois Vallées ski-pass upgrade are not included.
How do registration and payment work?
Register through the official participant link. Your payment moments become visible after registration. Payments must be made through your personal Sunweb payment page; do not use a bank transfer.
Can I cancel after registering?
No cancellation is free once you have registered, even if the deposit has not yet been paid. Read the general terms and conditions before confirming.
How does the room allocation work?
There is one accommodation type. If you want to share with a group of up to four, everyone should enter the exact same room name during booking. It remains a preference and the Ski Committee may still adjust the final allocation.
Can I bring or rent equipment?
You may bring your own equipment or add rental equipment during the Sunweb booking process. Current options and prices are shown there.
Can I upgrade the ski pass?
Yes. The Les Trois Vallées upgrade costs €76. We recommend keeping the included Val Thorens pass so we can stay together in one ski area, but the choice is yours.
Are ski lessons available?
Not through Sunweb for this trip. If you want to arrange a lesson independently, visit ESF and check availability directly.
Are meals included?
No. Food and drinks are not included in the €543 trip price.
How much luggage can I bring?
The final baggage allowance is TBA and will be emailed to participants. For now, plan around one large suitcase plus your ski or snowboard equipment if you bring your own.
Is a helmet mandatory?
No, but the Ski Committee strongly recommends wearing one.
Which insurance do I need, and what happens if I am injured?
Travel and cancellation insurance are not included. Check the Sunweb information and the general terms and conditions, and make sure your policy includes winter sports cover.
What are the rules around alcohol?
NIX18 applies: no alcohol under the age of 18. Everyone is expected to act responsibly and follow Aurelius, accommodation and local rules.
Where can I see who has registered?
After registering through Sunweb, participant information remains available through the Aurelius website under Events. There is no separate participant portal on this page.
What happens on the first school day after our return?
Monday 8 February is the first day of Block C. The committee is exploring the options with school, but every participant remains responsible for checking and managing their own academic schedule before booking.
When do we receive departure details and the programme?
The Dutch pickup location, expected departure and arrival times, local deposit information, final baggage rules, emergency details and activities are TBA. They will be emailed to the address used during registration.
